About The Position

Harrison County Hospital is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for its Med/Surg and TCU Department. This PRN night position works 12-hour shifts. Under the supervision of the Department of Nursing, the CNA performs receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit and serves as a central communication source at the nursing station, interacting with patients, visitors, staff, other departments, and physicians. The CNA also assists staff nurses with patient treatment and care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The role requires knowledge of growth and development across the life span to assess patient-status data and interpret information needed to provide age-specific care.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Indiana.
• CPR.
• Customer skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of patient care and basic activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Use of an Electronic Medical Record system (Cerner).
• Patient confidentiality.
• Teamwork.
• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.

Responsibilities
