About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant promotes residents’ dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, choice, and rights within the community. The role provides personal care, supports activities of daily living and social and spiritual pursuits, and monitors residents’ physical and cognitive wellbeing. The position is listed as full-time and part-time, with an hourly pay range of $19.00 to $20.00.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification may be required depending on state regulations.
• Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion when working with older adults.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of paid or volunteer experience working with seniors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders, in accordance with care plans and community policies and procedures.
• Assist residents with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transportation into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, and lifts.
• Assist with dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including setup, cleanup, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
• Monitor residents’ physical and cognitive wellbeing and report changes to the nurse and supervisor.
• Deliver nutritional supplements at assigned times and assist residents as needed to support intake; document intake according to community policy and procedure.
• Participate in life enrichment programming and provide meaningful activities to residents.
• Document resident care accurately and on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and procedures, including updates.
