About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant works at Select Medical Rehabilitation in Miami Lakes, housed inside Select Specialty Hospital - Miami Lakes. This inpatient rehabilitation hospital provides care for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. The role is per diem/PRN, with day and night shifts available. The organization offers an extensive orientation program and potential pathways to full-time opportunities.

Requirements

• Have an active CNA license in the state.
• Hold certified BLS or complete it within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks; feed patients who cannot feed themselves and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment and participate in the mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patients’ physical well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, including treatment centers.
