Certified Nursing Assistant AL/Memory 7am-3pm
About The Position
Lake Prince Woods, a growing not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Suffolk, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for its Memory Care and Assisted Living Unit. The CNA provides direct resident care and assists residents in reaching and maintaining the highest possible level of functioning, following physician orders, company and industry standards, and federal and state regulations. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the CNA encourages and promotes residents’ ability to adapt to and adjust to independent living as quickly and safely as possible.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- At least three months of work experience in basic nursing procedures for nursing assistants; new graduates will be considered.
- Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program.
- Current CNA certification and required in-services.
- Must be at least 16 years old due to Department of Labor regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care.
- Assist residents in reaching and maintaining the highest level of functioning in accordance with physician’s orders, company and industry standards, and federal and state regulations.
- Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Encourage and promote residents’ ability to adapt to and adjust to living independently as quickly and safely as possible.
