About The Position

Signature HealthCARE is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct resident care in one of its Louisville Market facilities. Working under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, the CNA helps promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Care is provided within the scope of state regulations and each resident’s plan of care, while supporting resident rights and choices.

Facilities listed include Signature HealthCARE of East Louisville; Signature Healthcare at Jefferson Manor Rehab & Wellness Center; Signature Healthcare at Jefferson Place Rehab & Wellness Center; Signature Healthcare at Rockford Rehab & Wellness Center; Signature HealthCARE of South Louisville; and Signature Healthcare at Summerfield Rehab & Wellness Center.

Requirements

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer-service orientation and ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Ability to function independently, with flexibility, personal integrity, and effectiveness when working with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Provide activities of daily living within the scope of practice defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other assigned information.
• Routinely turn and position residents as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards in assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in orienting and training other staff, as requested.
• Complete other special projects and duties as assigned.
