About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The role is limited to the CNA’s scope of practice: it does not include administering medications or therapy, or independently assuming responsibility for patient care. Duties are performed in accordance with PAM Health’s policies, procedures, and guidelines, and include other related tasks as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
- CNA certification where required by the state in which the hospital is located.
- Current BLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care activities under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
- Provide accommodative services within the limits of the position.
- Perform duties consistently with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
