About The Position

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for its Med/Surg and TCU Department. This full-time position works weekend nights in 12-hour shifts. Under the supervision of the Department of Nursing, the CNA performs receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit and serves as a central communication source at the nursing station, interacting with patients, visitors, staff, other departments, and physicians. The CNA also assists staff nurses with patient treatment and care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The employee applies knowledge of growth and development across the life span to assess patient-status data and interpret information needed to provide age-specific care.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Valid CNA license in the State of Indiana.
CPR skills.
Customer service skills.
Basic computer skills.
Basic knowledge of patient care and basic activities of daily living (ADLs).
Ability to use the Cerner Electronic Medical Record System.
Knowledge of patient confidentiality.
Teamwork skills.

Responsibilities
