About The Position

Harrison County Hospital is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Med/Surg and TCU Department. This full-time, day-shift position works 12-hour shifts. Under the supervision of the Department of Nursing, the employee performs receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit and serves as a focal communication source at the nursing station, interacting with patients, visitors, staff, other departments, and physicians. The employee also assists staff nurses with the treatment and care of patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The role requires knowledge of growth and development across the life span to assess patient-status data and interpret information needed to provide age-specific care.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
Valid CNA license in the State of Indiana.
CPR.
Customer skills.
Basic computer skills.
Basic knowledge of patient care and basic activities of daily living (ADLs).
Use of the Electronic Medical Record System (Cerner).
Patient confidentiality.
Teamwork.
Knowledge of principles of growth and development across the life span.

Responsibilities
