Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)- Step Down
About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant works in the Step Down department and reports to the Nursing Director of the assigned area. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse, the Nursing Assistant provides high-quality, individualized basic care activities within the Nursing Assistant scope of practice. This is a full-time night-shift position with Holiday Rotation B. Doctors Medical Center of Modesto is part of the Central Valley Doctors Health System and is a 394-bed general acute care hospital with a 67-bed inpatient psychiatric capacity. The center provides inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care across a range of services.
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred.
- Completion of nursing assistant certification upon hire.
- Current BLS certification.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification required, or current second-semester nursing student when hired or transferred into the position.
Nice To Haves
- Three months of skilled nursing or hospital experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, individualized basic care activities within the Nursing Assistant scope of practice.
- Work under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
- Assist and comfort patients as part of a patient-care support role.
