About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Telemetry Department is a certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The CNA works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Landmark Medical Center is a 214-bed acute care hospital in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, serving northern Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts. It is part of Prime Healthcare and has received patient-safety and other healthcare awards.
Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained as current.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office is preferred.
- Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintained as current per facility requirement.
