About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant in the Telemetry Department is a certified assistive person who assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The position works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The schedule is 24 hours per week, from 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain it as current.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office is preferred.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintained as current per facility requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients.
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
