About The Position
Provides daily supportive and functional care to residents in a compassionate environment, following established community care procedures and nursing leadership direction. Works collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team that focuses on residents as the directors of their own care. The role supports residents’ comfort, dignity, independence, and involvement in decisions about daily activities. It includes personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, meals, activities, therapies, and treatments; observing and reporting changes to nursing staff; documenting care; and maintaining a clean, safe environment. The position may involve working beyond normal hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
Requirements
- Missouri: Current CNA certification.
- Illinois: Current CNA certification.
- Pennsylvania: Enrollment, or eligibility for enrollment within 120 days of training-program completion, on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry after successfully completing a Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation program or competency evaluation program.
- Desire to be part of a person-centered care team.
- Ability to communicate with residents.

- Prior experience with direct patient or resident care is preferable.
Responsibilities
- Maintain residents’ comfort and provide physical care with activities of daily living within scope of practice; answer call lights and requests and report observations to the nurse.
- Address residents’ personal care and support needs promptly while preserving dignity and encouraging independence.
- Observe residents for changing needs and conditions and report relevant information to the nurse.
- Participate in residents’ care and service plans to help improve their lives.
- Assist residents at mealtimes and feed those who need full assistance.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and families and provide compassionate, professional support.
- Support residents’ involvement in decisions about daily activities and assist them with activities.
- Assist with residents’ therapies and treatments under the direction of licensed staff.
- Document care provided in clinical records.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
