CNA / PSS Full Time/Part Time - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Join Team Avita and provide compassionate care that enriches residents’ lives. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and/or Personal Support Specialists (PSSs) assist residents with daily activities, serve meals, manage laundry, communicate with residents, and respond promptly to their needs. The position is offered full time or part time, with weekend availability required. The posting lists first-shift hours as 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and second-shift hours as 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. Pay depends on certifications, years of experience, and schedule. Shift differentials are offered for specified shifts, and full-time hiring bonuses are available.
Requirements
- CNA certification or PSS qualification, including successful completion of the state competency exam for CNA certification or PSS.
- Ability to move and assist residents.
- Effective English verbal and written communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Genuine care and empathy for residents’ well-being.
- Ability to accurately record resident information and vital signs.
- Ability to work with healthcare professionals as part of the Wellness team.
- Ability to follow ethical standards and protect resident privacy.
- Criminal background screening.

Responsibilities
- Help residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Serve meals and ensure residents receive appropriate nutrition while following dietary guidelines and preferences.
- Manage laundry to maintain clean and comfortable surroundings for residents.
- Respond promptly and empathetically to residents’ needs.
- Work with other care professionals as part of the care team.
- Document observations and updates about residents’ conditions accurately.
- Follow safety rules and infection-control measures.
- Participate in training and education to improve caregiving skills.
