About The Position
Benchmark at Hamden is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the second shift, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. The CNA delivers care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment. The role includes assisting residents with daily living, documenting care, reporting changes in health or behavior, engaging residents in activities, and providing emotional support and exceptional customer service. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Valid CNA license required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Document care provided and report changes in residents’ health or behavior to appropriate staff.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support.
- Use customer service skills to ensure residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
- Perform other duties as needed.
