About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents in long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. The role pays $24–$26 per hour, with weekly pay and scheduling options available through a phone app. Schedules may include PRN, part-time, full-time contracts, days, evenings, or nights. A team member is available for 24/7 on-call support. Interim HealthCare is a family-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned provider of home care and healthcare staffing services. The company describes more than 35 years of service to the Sioux Falls community, over 9 years to Brookings, and over 4 years to Fargo, under the same ownership. Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in South Dakota, or ability to obtain certification through reciprocity or endorsement, as applicable.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to adapt to different facility environments, care plans, and resident needs.
- Must maintain all required certifications, credentials, and professional standards.
- Must meet applicable facility-specific requirements and complete required pre-employment screenings and onboarding procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Previous CNA experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions, behaviors, or overall well-being to appropriate nursing staff.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations, as assigned.
- Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration while following individual care plans and dietary requirements.
- Provide emotional support and promote residents’ comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, facility policies, and established safety procedures.
- Document care provided and communicate important information to nursing staff and other healthcare team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CNA certification and facility requirements.
