About The Position

Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The scheduled shift is 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. (eight hours), with an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. Under the supervision, guidance, and teaching of the supervisor in charge, the CNA assists residents with physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs in accordance with established nursing care procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold an active CNA license in the state of Nebraska.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Six months of experience as an aide or caregiver is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring or ambulation, and continence.
• Assist with senior/client admissions, discharges, and transfers, and orient new employees.
• Follow department protocols for submitting completed documentation.
• Prioritize assignments and adjust throughout the shift to meet changing or overlapping needs of seniors/clients, caregivers, team members, and managers, including responding to call lights when necessary.
• Perform assigned work duties within the work environment related to the position, as directed by Eventide.
• Follow the comprehensive care plan or service plan developed for each individual senior/client.
• Comply with HIPAA privacy regulations and safeguard protected health information at all times.
