About The Position

Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The scheduled shift is 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. (eight hours), with an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. The CNA helps meet residents’ physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs by following established nursing care procedures under the supervision, guidance, and teaching of the supervisor in charge.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold an active CNA license in the state of Nebraska.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Six months of experience as an aide or caregiver is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring or ambulation, and continence.
• Assist with senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees.
• Follow department protocol for submitting completed documentation.
• Prioritize assignments and adjust throughout the shift to address changing or overlapping needs, including call lights when necessary.
• Perform work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of team member preference.
• Follow the comprehensive care plan or service plan developed for each individual senior/client.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations and safeguard protected health information at all times.
