About The Position

Select Specialty Orlando Central is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Certified Nursing Assistants provide compassionate care to patients during vulnerable periods of recovery. The position is in Orlando, Florida, and is scheduled for three 12-hour day shifts, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The employer offers an extensive orientation program, career-development opportunities, clinical education, and benefits intended to support employees’ health, well-being, and career growth.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or being an actively enrolled RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
