About The Position
Select Specialty Orlando Central is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides compassionate patient care and support to patients during recovery. The position is based in Orlando, Florida, and works three 12-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or relevant work experience of at least 3 years.
- BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
- Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assistant or active enrollment as an RN student.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient services including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
- Participate in hourly rounds.
- Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
- Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
- Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
- Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
