About The Position

UF Health Rehab North, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. The hospital provides care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. This per diem/PRN position pays $21.00. The employer offers an extensive orientation program and notes that strong performance may lead to potential full-time opportunities. Part-time and per diem employees may qualify for a 401(k) after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• Hold an active CNA license in the state.
• Hold a certified BLS credential or complete BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who cannot feed themselves, and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that contribute to patients' physical well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, including to and from treatment centers.
