About The Position
Angels in the Home is seeking compassionate, dependable, and personable Certified Nursing Assistants to provide individualized, one-on-one assistance to clients in their homes. The private-duty home care role supports clients in remaining comfortable, independent, and connected to their interests through personalized care, companionship, and concierge-style assistance. Services may include personal care and daily living assistance, companionship, household support, errands, and lifestyle services. The position emphasizes building relationships, providing exceptional customer service, and making everyday life easier and more enjoyable for clients.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification preferred or required as applicable to assigned duties.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide attentive one-on-one care.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving or home care experience.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, which may be required depending on assignment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support.
- Assist with toileting and incontinence care as needed.
- Provide medication reminders as assigned and permitted.
- Observe and communicate changes in client condition.
- Build meaningful relationships with clients through conversation and companionship.
- Participate in activities, hobbies, games, and other client interests.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, and community activities.
- Provide emotional support and help reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation.
- Encourage independence while providing assistance when needed.
- Assist with grocery shopping, errands, and personal shopping.
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning.
- Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and organization.
- Assist with transportation and accompany clients to appointments or events when authorized.
- Help clients coordinate everyday activities and maintain their preferred routines.
- Provide personalized assistance based on each client's preferences and needs.
