About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Nursing Assistants (NA), and Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide compassionate in-home personal care to clients in Suffolk, Virginia. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and provide companionship in the comfort of their homes. PCA training is offered for interested applicants who are not certified. The position offers full-time, part-time, and PRN scheduling, with flexible availability options including weekdays, weekends, and overnights. Pay is weekly, with up to 40 hours per week. Full-time employees may be eligible for benefits. The company provides PPE, ongoing training, PCA classes for uncertified applicants, and referral bonus programs.
Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for people interested in PCA certification.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card and two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable disposition.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as transfers from bed to wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior.
