About The Position

AmeriCare Plus is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Nursing Assistants (NA), and Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide compassionate in-home personal care to clients in Newport News, Virginia. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and provide companionship in the comfort of their homes. PCA training is provided for interested applicants who are not certified. The position offers full-time, part-time, and PRN scheduling options, including weekdays, weekends, and overnights. The company provides weekly pay, ongoing training, personal protective equipment, and benefits eligibility for full-time PCAs.

Requirements

• CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for those interested in PCA work.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
• Social Security card.
• Two professional references.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
• Support client mobility and transfers, such as moving from bed to wheelchair.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior.
