Certified Nursing Assistant
About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents in long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, monitoring residents’ well-being, recording vital signs, supporting meals and hydration, and documenting and communicating care. CNAs are expected to follow care plans, infection prevention protocols, facility policies, and safety procedures while promoting residents’ comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life. The position offers $24–$26 per hour, paid weekly, with scheduling options described as PRN, part-time, full-time contracts, days, evenings, and nights through a scheduling app. 24/7 on-call support is available from an Interim HealthCare team member. Health insurance, Aflac policies, and a 401(k) are available based on eligibility.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in South Dakota, or the ability to obtain certification through reciprocity or endorsement, as applicable.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to adapt to different facility environments, care plans, and resident needs.
- Must maintain all required certifications, credentials, and professional standards.
- Must meet applicable facility-specific requirements and complete all required pre-employment screenings and onboarding procedures.

- Previous CNA experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions, behaviors, or overall well-being to appropriate nursing staff.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations, as assigned.
- Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration while following individual care plans and dietary requirements.
- Provide emotional support and promote residents’ comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, facility policies, and established safety procedures.
- Document care provided and communicate important information to nursing staff and other healthcare team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CNA certification and facility requirements.
