About The Position

Azalea Home Care is seeking dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) for its PRN, as-needed team in Gwinnett County. The organization is building a roster of 5–10 caregivers who may be contacted to cover open shifts. Weekday and/or weekend availability is needed, but hours depend on available cases and coverage needs, and shifts are not guaranteed. Caregivers provide hands-on personal care and daily living support, help clients maintain mobility, monitor and report health changes, offer medication reminders, and support client safety and companionship. The organization describes itself as caregiver-first and offers nurse-led mentorship, paid specialty certifications, and caregiver-first scheduling.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Active CNA license, state-specific.
Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification with employer-paid assistance.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift and transfer clients.
Basic computer and app skills for charting and communication.
Empathy, professionalism, and commitment to protecting client dignity and privacy.
Availability for weekday and/or weekend hours.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transfers.
Support mobility and strength through range-of-motion exercises, walking, and physician-directed therapy routines.
Check vital signs, track food and fluid intake, and promptly report changes in clients’ condition.
Remind clients to take medications as ordered and document compliance.
Prepare nutritious meals, perform light housekeeping, run errands, and provide companionship.
Follow infection-control and fall-prevention protocols.
Maintain accurate EMR notes using the organization’s app.
