About The Position
Thrive USA Home Care Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aid / Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home support to veterans, military families, and individuals with diverse care needs across Maryland, DC, Florida, and Tennessee. The role supports clients with daily activities, promotes their safety, independence, and well-being, and helps create a warm, supportive environment. The position is in person and offers 10–40 hours per week at $21–22 per hour.
Requirements
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, including Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling using proper patient transfer methods.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and care plan documentation.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Observe clients’ vital signs and overall condition and promptly report changes.
- Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients’ dietary needs and assist with eating when needed.
- Facilitate safe patient transfers using proper manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Keep client spaces clean, sanitary, organized, and safe.
- Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, and community outings.
