About The Position

Thrive USA Home Care Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aid / Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home support to veterans, military families, and individuals with diverse care needs across Maryland, DC, Florida, and Tennessee. The role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their independence and well-being. The position is in person and offers an opportunity to provide personalized care, particularly to veteran and military communities.

Requirements

• Knowledge of patient observation techniques.
• Knowledge of dementia care, including Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling and patient transfers using proper methods.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and documenting care plans.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Observe vital signs and overall condition and promptly report changes in clients’ health status.
• Support medication administration according to care plans and HIPAA regulations.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients’ dietary needs and assist with eating when needed.
• Facilitate safe patient transfers using proper manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized client spaces through cleaning and sanitation.
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, and community outings.
