FT AM Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - (8hr shifts)
About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant works in the Skilled Department of a 24/7 community and provides personal care and support to residents. The role promotes residents’ dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, choice, and rights while assisting with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits. The CNA also monitors residents’ physical and cognitive wellbeing. This is a full-time AM position averaging 32 hours per week across four 8.5-hour shifts. The schedule includes rotating weekends, and full-time employees are required to work holidays as scheduled. Shift differentials are offered.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion when working with older adults.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of paid or volunteer experience working with seniors is preferred.
- Certified Nursing Certification may be required, depending on state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders, in accordance with care plans and community policies and procedures.
- Assist residents with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transportation into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, and other locations or equipment.
- Assist with dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including setup, cleanup, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
- Monitor residents’ physical and cognitive wellbeing and report changes to the nurse and supervisor.
- Deliver nutritional supplements at assigned times, assist residents as needed to ensure intake, and document intake according to community policy and procedure.
- Participate in life enrichment programming and provide meaningful activities to residents.
- Document resident care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and procedures, including updates.
