About The Position

Moments Hospice is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), also described as a Hospice Aide, to provide hands-on personal care to hospice patients in private residences, assisted living settings, and care facilities. The role helps patients remain comfortable, clean, and cared for while offering support and companionship to their families.

The CNA works closely with an RN Case Manager as part of an interdisciplinary care team. The position includes structured training and opportunities to build skills in a supportive environment with clear expectations and reasonable caseloads. It is listed as full-time and field-based, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Pay is $18–$23 per hour.

The company offers a fleet car program that provides a vehicle for business and personal use, with fuel and insurance covered at minimal cost, subject to eligibility. A company cell phone and a benefits package are also offered.

Requirements

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Ability to work in an electronic medical record system.
• Strong written and verbal communication and active-listening skills.
• Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Compassion, patience, and the ability to handle emotional situations with care.
• Strong understanding of professional boundaries.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and a good understanding of body mechanics.
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare caregiving experience in home care, assisted living or memory care, skilled nursing, a hospital, or hospice.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and skin care.
• Assist with lifting, transferring, positioning, range-of-motion exercises, and ambulation.
• Assist with dining and nutrition.
• Review and follow each patient's plan of care under the direction of the RN Case Manager.
• Provide comfort and companionship to patients and support to their families.
• Maintain electronic medical records.
