About The Position

Charter House, Mayo Clinic’s retirement community in downtown Rochester, Minnesota, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for its Short-Term Rehabilitation Center. Charter House provides a resident-focused community with Assisted Living and Short-Term Rehabilitation services. The role provides and assists with direct and indirect resident care, supporting residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Hold Nursing Assistant Certification and be listed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
• Be available to attend all required orientation sessions, including Mayo Clinic Orientation on the start date and seven weekdays of Charter House orientation and training.
• Be available to work varied hours, potentially including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends, with rotating days off.
• Submit a CV or resume and cover letter with the application.
• International degrees require a detailed equivalency evaluation demonstrating a U.S. equivalent degree, completed by an organization listed with NACES or AICE.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and promote the highest practicable level of their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
• Maintain awareness of applicable state and federal regulations.
• Provide direct care duties in a timely manner.
• Interact politely and professionally with residents, family members, visitors, and staff.
• Cross-train to float to other areas of Charter House.
