CNA in Laurel with Dementia Experience
About The Position
Home Helpers Home Care of Olney is hiring a kind, compassionate, and dedicated CNA or GNA to provide care for a client in Laurel, Maryland. The client has dementia; prior dementia-care experience is preferred. This is a part-time position scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, paying $20 per hour. The role is expected to start as soon as possible. The caregiver will support the client with personal care and activities of daily living, meal preparation, light housekeeping, mobility, medication reminders, and companionship. The caregiver will also monitor and report physical and behavioral changes and assist with monitoring blood pressure and glucose levels. Requirements
- Hold a current Maryland CNA license.
- Hold current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Have good oral and written communication skills.
- Be able to understand care plans and assessments.
- Have current medical health clearance from a doctor, including a negative TB test.

- Prior dementia-care experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and transfers.
