Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including delivering meals, turning and ambulating patients, providing fresh water, and offering nourishment between meals.
Assist patients with personal hygiene, including use of bedpans and help with baths, shampoos, and showers.
Provide adjunct patient care, including ice packs, non-sterile dressings, and therapeutic baths.
Check vital signs and record daily information in patients’ charts.
Assist nurses and other staff as needed.
Work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
Handle pressure and critical situations with a cool head.
