About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant performs basic nursing care procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse at Masonicare Health Center, a 260-bed skilled nursing facility in Wallingford, Connecticut. The CNA follows each resident’s or patient’s treatment plan, which is designed to meet their age, needs, and abilities. Requirements
- Current Connecticut certification as a nurse’s aide (C.N.A.).
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Follow the treatment plan designed to meet each resident’s or patient’s age, needs, and abilities.
- Assist with meals and nourishment.
- Transfer residents or patients using proper body mechanics and appropriate assistive devices.
- Assist with ambulation, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
- Perform basic nursing care procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
