About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant works closely with licensed nurses and other team members to meet residents’ needs and maintain high-quality care. The CNA provides personal care to assigned residents, including bathing, feeding, daily hygiene, toileting, lifting, turning, and repositioning. The role serves residents at a Tennessee State Veterans’ Home and requires a caring, flexible team member who can help provide a safe and comfortable environment.

The position is offered on day or night shifts: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The listed salary range is $17.08 to $23.12, with wages based on certified years of experience. Full-time employees may be eligible for a retention bonus of up to $10,000.

Requirements

• Hold a current and active Nurse Aide Certification.
• Be a caring individual willing to assist in providing a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
• Be able to work independently and make decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Be flexible in work habits to meet the needs of residents or nursing staff.
• Deal tactfully and effectively with residents, families, and visitors.
• Read and understand standard English.
• Be willing to work as part of a caring team.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities
