Certified Nursing Aide
About The Position
The Certified Nursing Aide assists in providing residents with a safe and comfortable environment. The position requires a caring, friendly, punctual, and reliable individual who can work independently and as part of a team, make decisions when circumstances warrant to meet residents’ needs, and adapt work habits to meet the needs of residents and coworkers. The aide must deal tactfully and effectively with residents, families, and visitors, and be able to read and understand English. Open positions include 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shifts with every other weekend, and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts. Each shift is available as full-time or PRN. The position requires a criminal background check and employment and professional references.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and active Nurse Aide Certification is required.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Ability to make decisions when circumstances warrant to meet residents’ needs.
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with residents, families, and visitors.
- Punctuality and reliability, including adherence to scheduled work hours.
- Criminal background check required.
- Employment and professional references required.
