About The Position
Diablo Valley Post Acute is hiring full-time Certified Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate, resident-centered care at its 5-Star Medicare-rated skilled nursing and post-acute care facility. The facility has 200 beds and emphasizes quality care, resident dignity, comfort, safety, and independence. CNAs work alongside an experienced clinical team in a supportive, team-oriented environment, with opportunities for training, education, mentorship, and advancement. Experienced and newly certified CNAs are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Current, active California CNA certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing excellent resident care.
Nice To Haves
- Previous skilled nursing or healthcare experience; experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care while promoting residents' dignity, comfort, safety, and independence.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meals.
- Follow individualized care plans and perform assigned nursing-related duties under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
- Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing team.
- Accurately document care provided and maintain required records.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and other mobility needs.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support resident care goals.
