About The Position

Stroudwater Lodge is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/PSS) to help residents with daily activities and support their well-being. The role includes personal care, serving meals, managing laundry, responding promptly and compassionately to residents’ needs, and communicating with residents. The CNA works with other care professionals, documents observations and changes in residents’ conditions, and follows safety and infection-control procedures. Training and education are provided to support continued improvement in caregiving skills. A criminal background screening and annual influenza vaccination are required.

Requirements

Successful completion of a state competency exam for CNA certification or PSS certification.
Ability to move and assist residents.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Genuine care and empathy for residents’ well-being.
Ability to accurately record resident information and vital signs.
Ability to work with healthcare professionals as part of the Wellness team.
Ability to follow ethical standards and maintain resident confidentiality.
Criminal background screening is required.
Annual influenza vaccination is required.

Responsibilities

Help residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Serve meals and ensure residents receive appropriate nutrition while following dietary guidelines and preferences.
Manage laundry to maintain clean and comfortable conditions for residents.
Respond promptly and compassionately to residents’ needs.
Work with other care professionals to support an effective care team.
Document observations and updates about residents’ conditions.
Follow safety rules and infection-control measures.
Participate in training and education to improve caregiving skills.
