About The Position

Phoenix Home Care is hiring a full-time Caregiver in Springfield, Missouri, and surrounding areas to provide one-on-one care to geriatric clients in their homes. Caregivers work with a smaller number of clients and can control their schedules and travel time. The role offers consistent full-time hours for reliable caregivers, with work involving multiple 2- and 3-hour shifts and building schedules with multiple clients. A mandatory weekend requirement applies; the posting states “! weekend a month.” Starting pay is $16 per hour, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Have a reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
Be able to lift 50 pounds.
Pass a background check.
Pass a drug test.
Be willing to work multiple 2- and 3-hour shifts and build a schedule with multiple clients.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Support clients with higher-acuity needs, including transfers using equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts.
Assist with feeding and meal preparation.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ conditions.
Perform light housekeeping.
Provide medication reminders.
Run errands.
