About The Position

Parker at Somerset is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant/Resident Attendant to provide direct resident care in a caring and compassionate environment. The role assists residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding, to ensure the highest quality of person-centered care. The position is part time and pays $22.90–$31.53 per hour, depending on experience. Parker is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Certified Age-Friendly Employer.

Requirements

• Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing from the state of New Jersey, or certification from a state with approved New Jersey reciprocity.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to deal with others in a diplomatic, tactful, and confidential manner.
• Ability to move, lift, or carry objects weighing up to approximately 25 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally assist in lifting or transferring elders weighing an average of 150 pounds.
• Ability to move about and between small homes and floors.
• Flu vaccination is required during flu season.

• Skill and experience with long-term care, geriatric care, and/or dementia care.
