About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The CNA performs duties within the limits of the position and does not administer medications or therapy or assume independent responsibility for patient care. Duties are carried out in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. Other related duties may be assigned or requested. The position is full-time and for night shifts at the Texarkana LTACH. PAM Health describes a collaborative care environment with opportunities for professional growth through its Education Advancement Program.
Requirements
- CNA certification where required by the state in which the hospital is located.
- Current BLS certification.
- High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
- No experience is required.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care activities within the limits of the position.
- Provide accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
- Perform duties consistently with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
