About The Position

Signature HealthCARE of Chapel Hill is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. The role supports a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment and provides activities of daily living in accordance with state regulations, facility policies, and each resident’s plan of care. The CNA also helps maintain resident rooms and assigned duty areas, responds to call lights, and supports resident rights and choices. This is a full-time night position, scheduled from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The facility is a 108-bed center offering short-term rehabilitation and traditional long-term care. The salary is up to $23.09 per hour.

Requirements

Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state in which the facility operates.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
Customer-service orientation and ability to work well under pressure.
Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
Ability to function independently, demonstrate personal integrity, and work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
Help promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Provide activities of daily living within the scope of practice defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
Change bed linens and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident rooms.
Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other assigned information.
Routinely turn and position residents as necessary.
Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
Assist with orientation and training of other staff as requested.
Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
