About The Position

Aviator Home Health is hiring a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant to provide skilled home health care as part of a collaborative clinical team. The CNA provides direct patient care under the direction of an RN and in accordance with the Aide Plan of Care, supporting patients in remaining safely at home. The role emphasizes individualized care, teamwork, patient dignity, and a clean, safe, comfortable environment.

Requirements

• Current State Nurse’s Aide registration.
• One year of experience as a CNA in patient care.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
• Valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record patients’ physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.
• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Teach patients how to use canes, walkers, special eating utensils, and personal hygiene techniques or equipment.
• Teach family members appropriate ways to lift, turn, and reposition patients, and advise them on nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping.
• Provide direct patient care under RN direction and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
• Assist patients with safe transfers and ambulation according to agency policy.
• Report changes in patient condition and document pertinent information and care provided to support continuity of care.
• Follow accepted infection control principles.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while respecting patient privacy and property.
• Assist patients with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.
• Communicate positively, supportively, and respectfully with patients, families, and coworkers.
• Contribute to efficient agency operations and demonstrate effective time management.
• Perform treatments and procedures according to agency policy.
• Attend 12 hours of in-services per year to support professional growth and competency.
• Promote the agency philosophy and administrative policies to support quality of care.
