About The Position

Select Medical Rehabilitation - Palm Beach is an inpatient rehabilitation hospital housed inside Select Specialty Hospital - Palm Beach. The hospital provides care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The Certified Nursing Assistant supports patient care through vital-sign collection, personal care, meals, safe positioning and mobility, response to call lights, and transportation. The position is per diem, with 12-hour shifts available on days and nights. Compensation is $21.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for night and weekend shifts.

Requirements

• Hold an active CNA license in the state.
• Have certified BLS or complete it within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who cannot feed themselves, and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that contribute to patients’ physical well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, including to and from treatment centers.
