About The Position

Eventide Williamsburg in Lincoln, Nebraska, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to work the 6 a.m.–6 p.m. shift. The schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation. The CNA enhances the living experience of Eventide’s seniors, residents, and clients by providing care and related services in accordance with comprehensive care or service plans. The role contributes to clients’ physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being through respectful, professional, competent, and personable interactions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English, including medical terminology related to the job.
• Must be able to access the work area and safely perform job duties; vision and hearing must be within normal limits, with or without correction.
• Must have unrestricted ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds and demonstrate strength and agility at Eventide’s discretion.
• CNA certification in good standing, demonstrated by inclusion on the Nebraska State Registry, is required.
• Must meet Eventide’s vaccination requirements.
• Certifications must be kept up to date at the employee’s expense.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• MA-40 certification preferred; CPR is required if using MA-40 certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring, ambulation, and continence.
• Assist with senior/client admissions, discharges, and transfers, and orient new employees.
• Submit completed documentation according to department protocol.
• Prioritize and adjust assignments throughout the shift to meet changing needs, including responding to call lights when necessary.
• Perform duties related to the position within the assigned work environment, as assigned by Eventide.
• Follow each individual senior/client’s comprehensive care or service plan.
• Safeguard protected health information and comply with HIPAA privacy regulations.
• Implement activities for seniors/clients.
• Prepare, plate, and serve meals, snacks, and other requested foods.
• Assist with dining room cleanup and perform housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.
