Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)- Mobile & Flexible (Belle Plaine)
About The Position
AffiniCare is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide staffing support at Care Initiatives skilled nursing communities. CNAs can choose preferred hours, facilities, and shifts, and travel to multiple locations within their region to fill open shifts. The role has a minimum work requirement of 16 hours per month and offers flexible scheduling, with full-time and part-time hours available. CNAs support residents’ daily living, health monitoring, emotional well-being, and participation in recreational and therapeutic activities. They communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team and follow infection-control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- At least six months of verifiable experience working as a CNA.
- Ability to travel between multiple Care Initiatives communities within the region.
- Live within a reasonable driving distance of Care Initiatives communities.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including performing routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection-control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Travel between multiple Care Initiatives communities in the region to assist with open shifts.
