Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year of professional caregiving or CNA experience required.
Active Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
CPR certification.
Valid Texas driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
Compassionate nature, good communicator, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Home health experience preferred.
Experience caring for patients with neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries, bowel programs, and complex mobility needs is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate in-home care to seniors and individuals with illnesses, injuries, chronic conditions, and disabilities.
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, feeding, and nutritional support.
Assist with ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and range of motion exercises.
Monitor and report changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
Check vital signs, monitor intake and output, and document care accurately.
Follow individualized care plans while collaborating with nurses and the healthcare team.
Provide care for patients with complex neurological and mobility conditions, including: Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Quadriplegia, Spinal cord injuries, Parkinson's disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
Assist with bowel programs and other specialized personal care needs while maintaining patient dignity, comfort, and safety.
Safely utilize gait belts, Hoyer lifts, transfer devices such as sliding boards, and proper body mechanics when assisting patients.
