Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program
About The Position
UHS is seeking compassionate, motivated individuals for a paid Certified Nursing Assistant training program at Ideal Senior Living. Participants earn $16.00 per hour while completing training designed to prepare them for a CNA career in a supportive long-term care environment. Training includes hands-on experience and instruction in resident care, activities of daily living, infection prevention, vital signs, and person-centered care. The program runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Upon successful completion, participants will be eligible to sit for the New York State CNA Certification Exam. After successful completion and certification, they will transition into a CNA position with Ideal Senior Living, with starting CNA pay of $21.25 per hour. The primary department is UHS Senior Living at Ideal. Multiple shifts are available for the position following training. The listed compensation range is $15.00–$20.74 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits eligibility applies to employees hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled hours per week.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Compassion and motivation to pursue a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Participate in paid CNA training and gain hands-on experience in a long-term care environment.
- Learn and practice resident care, activities of daily living (ADLs), infection prevention, vital signs, and person-centered care.
- Successfully complete the program and pursue New York State CNA certification.
- Transition into a CNA position at Ideal Senior Living after successful completion and certification.
