About The Position

The Restorative CNA provides a safe environment, emotional and social support, and assistance with residents’ physical needs and comfort in a skilled nursing facility. The role provides direct care in accordance with each resident’s care plan and supervisor direction, and participates in restorative programs and activities that support residents’ well-being. The employee follows health, sanitary, and infection-control policies and the standards of practice established by the community’s administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures. Other duties may be assigned by community representatives. The position is located at Autumn Care of Chesapeake, 715 Argyll Street, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The wage is $21.00–$24.00 per hour. Requirements

Hold a current nursing assistant certification registry status in good standing under applicable state law, or otherwise meet the state’s requirements to work as a nursing assistant.
Have a high school diploma or GED, or be actively enrolled in a high school program. GED guidance and resources are available.

Responsibilities

Provide direct resident care in accordance with residents’ care plans and supervisor direction.
Maintain a safe environment and provide emotional and social support to residents.
Attend to residents’ physical needs and comfort in a skilled nursing facility setting.
Participate in restorative programs and activities to support residents’ well-being.
Follow health, sanitary, and infection-control policies and established practice standards.
Perform other duties as directed by community representatives.
