Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Restorative Aide
About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant/Restorative Aide provides a safe environment, emotional and social support, and care for residents’ physical needs and comfort in a skilled nursing facility. The role provides direct resident care according to care plans and supervisor direction, and participates in restorative programs and activities that support residents’ well-being. The employee also follows the community’s health, sanitation, infection-control, and nursing policies and procedures, maintains established standards of practice, and performs other duties as directed by community representatives.
Requirements
- Hold current Nursing Assistant certification in good standing on the applicable state registry, or otherwise meet state requirements to work as a Nursing Assistant.
- Have a high school diploma or GED, or be actively enrolled in a high school program.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe environment and attend to residents’ physical needs and comfort.
- Provide emotional and social support to residents.
- Perform direct resident care in accordance with care plans and supervisor direction.
- Participate in restorative programs and activities that support residents’ well-being.
- Follow health, sanitation, infection-control, and nursing policies and procedures, and maintain established standards of practice.
- Perform other duties as directed by community representatives.
