About The Position

Preferred Care at Home of Virginia Beach is hiring experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) for in-home care assignments throughout the Hampton Roads area. The role offers full-time and part-time opportunities based on client needs and caregiver qualifications and availability. Caregivers support seniors in their homes, helping them live safely, comfortably, and independently. Previous caregiving experience is required; training is not provided.

The position pays $15–$17 per hour based on experience and certification, with weekly pay by direct deposit. Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience.
• Current CNA certification or PCA credentials appropriate to the position.

• Valid driver's license and active car insurance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow care instructions.
• Commitment to providing respectful, high-quality care to seniors in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful conversation.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan and agency policies.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
• Promote client dignity, independence, and overall well-being.
• Follow individualized care plans and report changes in a client's condition to the appropriate supervisor.
